Concordia University Chicago (CUC) invites applications for the full-time, two-year visiting faculty position for the Spanish department (Assistant or Associate professor depending on qualifications). This position reports to the Dean and Associate Dean of the College of Arts & Science and is located in River Forest, IL.

Responsibilities/Duties: 

This position is responsible for teaching Spanish language courses, overseeing the Spanish program, advising students, engaging in discipline-related scholarship, and providing service to the University.

Skill Sets: 

  • Computer proficiency with Microsoft Word, Outlook, Excel and other software programs
  • Excellent organizational and prioritizing skills
  • Strong interpersonal communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality
  • Ability to handle all situations in a pleasant and professional manner

Minimum Experience Required:

Experience teaching Spanish language courses at the college level

Education Requirements:

Master's degree in Spanish required; Ph.D in Spanish required, but ABD will be considered

Compensation and Benefits:

Starting range and faculty rank is dependent upon individual qualifications and experience.
