Concordia University Chicago (CUC) invites applications for the full-time, exempt, staff position of Enrollment Advisor. This position provides comprehensive enrollment and academic advising services to undergraduate students enrolled in the online, accelerated degree completion programs. This position is located in River Forest, IL and reports to the Executive Director of Enrollment for Online Degree Completion.


The Enrollment Advisor provides a range of enrollment and retention services for all students within his/her assigned territory and works in concert with staff from designated enrollment lead partners. The Enrollment Advisor has primary responsibility for initial admission and matriculation, disseminates information regarding financial aid, advises for course selection, and tracks and monitors student retention term to term up to and including degree completion/graduation.  This position represents the University at outreach events as required, and is well-versed in all aspects of enrollment management, including financial aid, that assist potential and current students in navigating all enrollment processes.

Skill Sets: 

  • Excellent written and oral communication skills and demonstrated evidence of same
  • Demonstrated evidence of organizational and planning abilities and capability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously
  • A strong commitment to student service and evidence of skill in this area
  • Periodic weekend Saturday commitment required
  • Workweek M-F will generally begin at 10am

Minimum Experience Required:

A minimum of 1-2 years previous enrollment, advising or sales lead experience required preferably with an adult population. Demonstrated proficiency in all Microsoft Office, Access, and enterprise student data system(s).

Bachelor's degree required

Compensation and Benefits:

Starting range is dependent upon individual qualifications and experience. Concordia health, disability and retirement plan enrollment is available to full-time employees and their eligible dependents. Tuition benefits are also available for employees and their qualified dependents.
