Concordia University, Chicago, IL seeks a full time faculty member for the Department of Leadership (rank commensurate with qualification and experience) for a two-year position. Contracts may be extended beyond that period depending upon the recommendations of the Peer Review Committee.

Responsibilities/Duties:  Primary responsibilities include teaching graduate courses at the Master's and Doctoral level in school and district leadership, such as, ethics, supervision, school change and evaluation, finance, school organization, law, supervision and improvement of instruction, leading school based learning communities, internships, while maintaining an active program of scholarship including presentations and publications, and participating in service community activities and doctoral dissertation committees.

Minimum Experience Required: Qualified candidates have a solid record of teaching and involvement in PK-12 settings with five or more years as a public or private school building or district level administrator; and must be committed to Lutheran education and values congruent with the Lutheran Church Missouri Synod. Preference will be given to candidates who have experience teaching at the Master's and Doctoral level, including serving on dissertation committees, and experience in instructional leadership. Additional consideration will be given to candidates who have served as principals and/or superintendents.

Education Requirements: Qualified candidates should have an earned doctorate in educational leadership or a related educational area
