Responsibilities/Duties:  The Manager of Admission Event Planning holds primary responsibility for the continuous and successful planning, execution, and assessment of all small and large scale events planned and sponsored by the Office of Undergraduate Admission, and at times, may be involved in the planning and execution of enrollment-related events for other units.  This includes but is not limited to Visit Days, Admitted Student Programs, Honors Program events, Music Scholarship auditions, regional recruitment receptions offered off-campus, counselors and influencer visit events, LCMS on and off-campus admission events as well as all other programmatic events sponsored by the Office of Undergraduate Admission.  Collaborate with faculty and staff for programmatic development and logistics and the director of creative services for marketing of such programs.  Evaluates each event and prepares comparative reports and analyses, making recommendations for future program improvements.  Collaborates with other personnel to target appropriate populations to maximize participation and enrollment growth.  In collaboration with direct supervisor, develops and maintains individual event budgets as part of the annual budgeted process.  This manager also assists in the document tracking for international students as required in support of the admission recruitment team. The manager also has direct responsibility for all aspects of the undergraduate admission inventory, including all publications, promotional items, and print supplies, monitoring and ordering with designated university departments as needed, within required timeframes and budget allocations.  This position manages all logistical arrangements for the new student check-in process and collaborates with Student Services staff on the returning student process. Evaluates annual new student check-in process, recommending changes to improve service to new students and families.   • Technical skills and ability to produce outcomes reports and data-driven recommendations for program improvements.
  • Management of staff and student program volunteers/participants.

Minimum Experience Required: Minimum of three years of event planning experience, preferably in a higher education setting.

Education Requirements: Minimum of a Bachelor's Degree, preferably in a Marketing-related area of concentration.
